7th class

Last week we had midterm exam. So we no class.This week our class study human-computer interaction.

*Outline for thiss week.-key point that has implications for the aesthetic, ethics and evaluation of human-computer interaction
-history of HCI from a tools perspective-conversational models of the interface: the intersection of AI and HCI-question for today: what problem does Weizenbaum’s ELIZA system address or solve?
-the answer of AI-the answer of Ethnomethodology

* Key point-People often interact with media technologies as though the technologies were people.
-I think computer is close to human. because people almost have computer and we use internet to search many data.(news, e-mail, blog, cafe ,etc.) Now computer is essentiality thing.

*related points: ethics-questions of ethics and “others” *should we treat technologies as people or people as technologies?
- I think to exist both two face. First technologies as people is people to toxic internet. So make internet addict.
- people as technologies is people make graphic media, movie , advertisement etc.

*history of HCI (from a tool-building perspective)
- we saw moving picture. I feel science technologies to develop extravagantly, surprise and unbelievable.

* ethnomethodology: a definition
-Ethnomethodology simply means the study of the ways in which people make sense of their social world. Ethnomethodology is a fairly recent sociological perspective, founded by the American sociologist Harold Garfinkel in the early 1960s. The main ideas behind it are set out in his book "Studies in Ethnomethodology" (1967).

this week we study human-computer interaction. I feel technology is so many develop. And When we saw moving picture,I'm amazing to science technology. Our class is interesting. I don't know many things to understand, learn. next week we study computer-aid. I don't know computer-aid. I will learn many things to this class.
